When I saw this picture it had such an impact after just finishing the story. It made me feel kind of eerie since that was what Alaska said was her solution to escaping the labyrinth and, in the end, how she died.
I agree, this picture has such a strong impact. It really makes me think which is easier, life or death? I believe that both life and death are equally as hard. To live means to suffer, and we don't know what comes after death. To some, the idea of taking a chance of what happens after death, is better than staying in life and suffering.
